What to Expect

Our services usually last about 90 minutes. We begin with approximately 15 minutes of music led by a live band. The lyrics will be projected onto large screens, and many people will sing along—you’re welcome to join in as you feel comfortable. We use music as a way to express our love for God and gratitude for all He has done for us.

Following the music, one of our pastors will share a message from the Bible. Our goal is to help everyone understand Scripture and apply its teachings to their lives. The message is designed to be practical, challenging, and hopefully inspiring in your pursuit of God.

Occasionally, we may hold baptisms during the service, or we might celebrate communion together. In every service, each person coming to the platform will explain what’s happening, ensuring there are no surprises for you. We’ll always make sure you know what to do and won’t leave you guessing.

Each Sunday, we take up an offering to support the work of EUMC, but as our guest, you’re under no obligation to give. This is entirely up to you. Our church is blessed with many opportunities to serve our community, and through the generosity of our members, we can meet those needs. You can join in God’s work at EUMC whenever you feel ready.

Our ultimate aim is for everyone at EUMC to feel comfortable and confident in their ability to read and understand the Bible. If you don’t own a Bible, we’d love to give you one, so stop by the Welcome Center and ask. You can also download a Bible app for easy access on your phone. Yes, that’s why so many people have their phones out during the service—they’re not texting! Well, most of them aren’t!

Common Questions

  • Experience EUMC in Person!

You won’t leave the same. Our services are open to everyone, and you don’t need to be a member to attend. When you arrive, expect to experience the liberating presence of God. You’ll hear celebratory music accompanied by dancing. You may see people cry or wave their hands in worship. We invite you to join us and encounter God’s presence. Although we prepare an agenda for each service, we remain flexible to allow the Holy Spirit to guide us.

  • About Our Music

EUMC services start with contemporary Gospel music featuring a band with guitars, drums, and keyboards. Our talented musicians and singers deliver spiritually moving performances, all with one purpose: to experience God through our times of singing.

  • Weekend Service

Our Sunday Worship Service begins at 11 a.m. You’ll experience genuine worship and hear a message designed to inspire, uplift, and help you reach your God-given destiny. You’ll also be able to pray, meet new people, and participate in giving.

  • Parking

There’s plenty of street parking on Linden Blvd, Hegeman Ave, and New Lots Ave. However, spaces fill quickly, so arrive early to secure a spot.

  • Arriving

When you enter the building, you’ll be greeted by our hospitality team, who are here to welcome you, answer any questions, and provide directions to children’s ministries, restrooms, and more.

  • Seating

Our friendly greeters/ushers are available to help you find your seat. Just let them know how many people are in your party, and they’ll guide you to the best seats available.

  • Timing

Doors for Sunday Worship open to the public at 10:30 a.m. The service begins promptly at 11:00 a.m. We recommend arriving a little early. Doors close when capacity is reached, and our worship service lasts approximately 90 minutes.
